3 key principles of our Heart Health Program:
1. Intensity of exercise. Optimum will instruct you about the intensity level that’s safe for your heart condition. The correct exercise intensity is essential to providing a safe environment. Progressing your exercise intensity at the appropriate time will improve your heart function.
2. Resistance training program. All of Optimum’s Heart Health Programs include a resistance training component. Most people don’t realise that by strengthening your muscles, you’ll become more efficient in all of your movements. This enables your heart to function more efficiently.
3. Weight loss. There’s a proven direct relationship between excessive body weight and poor heart health. The more you weigh, the harder your heart pumps.
